Rising grocery prices and regulatory policies surrounding our farm producers are being knee-capped. By developing a strong Farm Bill that supports our local farmers and beef producers, with a fresh pair of eyes and ears, I intend to spend time and focus attention to our needs of survival and economic growth. Idaho agriculture is a powerhouse industry with a record-setting $44.5 billion annual economic impact, representing roughly 17-18% of the state's total economic output. Idaho ranks #1 nationally in potatoes, barley, alfalfa, trout, and peppermint oil. The sector supports over 79,000 to 138,000 jobs, with 25,000 farms producing over 185 different commodities.
