CIVIL RIGHTS AND DEMOCRACY
My biggest fear is we are all being led astray day after day. Each day journalism and news reports are being stricken from attending important policy changing information, leading us to spend valuable time and resources on hunting down what’s to be true and what is false. Our civil rights from voting to women’s rights and the press are in jeopardy. I always seem to be fighting the system. The news now offers opinions instead of facts. Facts have escaped our everyday vocabulary. The current members of congress appear to be loyalist working for the president instead of the people the represent. Our troops are now in grave peril and no one, has chosen to step forward to hold anyone accountable. The Supreme Court handed the presidents unfettered control. We need accountability. For the system to work, there needs to be checks and balances. Our current checks and balances are failing due to loyalty. We need to safeguard what we’ve fought so hard to achieve and helped so many other countries achieve. This is not the time to look away. We will need to expand the current Supreme Court and develop an ethics committee. If ever there were a time in history where we the people need to stand for Justice for All, the time is now my friends. I am ready. I am ready for the hard job ahead and I will not hide, I will not disappoint.
