IMMIGRATION REFORM & BORDER SECURITY
I support comprehensive immigration reform that will create a pathway to legal status and citizenship. It still surprises me to see immigrants pay their way forward and into the communities and governments and it still takes over 30 years and $100,00+ out of pocket to earn the citizenship. This is yet another area I hope to reach across the imaginary political party lines to find a meaningful solution for all. It’s the 21st century, a meaningful solution is the least we can do, I know we are capable of much greater achievements. Ice facilities are over-budget and need oversight.
I support legislation to end taxpayer-funded benefits for undocumented individuals. The path to citizenship must be met within the legal guidelines, not just crossing a border.
