For most of us immigration falls in our family lineage, for others Native Americans are their ancestors and were the purveyors of this very land we love to cherish and call home. Without the Coeur d' Alene Tribe, Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, Shoshone-Paiute tribes, and the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho those treaties and our lives might look significantly different. These nations within our state manage significant land areas spanning from the northern panhandle to the southern high desert. I want to commit on working to improve and strengthen those relationships whenever opportunities arise. Helping to keep land protected. I vehemently oppose and idea that sells Idaho lands and access to those lands and valuable mineral resources. We are the Gem State. The economic fall-out would be debilitating. Public lands generate 78.000 jobs and bring a whopping $2.3Billion in annual wages. Public lands should be under public ownership.
